FAQs about Walk and Talk Therapy:

Where will we meet?

This is entirely up to you. I can suggest local public parks and walking paths, but if you have a favorite place you want to go, or if you like to explore new trails each session, that is great and let me know!

How does walk and talk therapy work?

During walk and talk therapy sessions, you and I will engage in conversation while walking together in a chosen outdoor location. The movement and change of scenery can enhance relaxation, promote openness, and stimulate creativity.

What are the benefits of walk and talk therapy?

Walk and talk therapy offers several benefits, including improved mood, reduced stress, increased physical activity, and a deeper connection with nature. Many clients find that being outdoors creates a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for self-reflection and exploration.

What if the weather is not good?

We will connect the morning of our session if the weather is not ideal for walking, and you can always decide to meet online instead. It is up to you as the client and I am up for anything - wind, rain, or snow!

What should I wear for walk and talk therapy?

It's recommended to wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking outdoors. Consider dressing in layers and bringing weather-appropriate gear, such as a hat, sunscreen, or a light jacket, depending on the weather conditions.

How do I know if this is right for me?

Perhaps your answers to these questions will help you decide:

  • Do you enjoy walking and talking more than sitting across from someone?

  • Do you wish you were able to get outside more often, for exercise or just fresh air?

  • Have you been feeling anxious, depressed, or stressed more often than not?

  • Would you like to feel more connected to nature, the changing seasons, and your natural surroundings?

If the answer is YES to any of these questions, then this may be the right fit for you. Let’s talk more!
